Birthplace
and home of Charles Stewart Parnell (1846 - 1891). The
house which is Georgian was built in 1777. It is set in
500 acres of forest parkland. Facilities include
restaurant, signposted walks, children's play area, picnic
area, toilets and parking.

legacy of the Ice Age, this huge granite monolith commands one

Glendalough
Glendalough,
home of the world famous archaeological monastic site and
round tower. Glendalough gets its name from the Irish
langauge - Gleann da locha meaning the "Glen of the two
lakes". Situated right in the heart of the Wicklow
Mountains National Park, Glendalough is one of the most
visited tourist locations in Ireland, with over 1 million

Wicklow Way
The
Wicklow Way is part of a network of long-distance self-guided
walking trails, also called ("way-marked ways"),
throughout Ireland. it begins in Dublin's southern
suburb of Rathfarnham and travels in a south-south-western
direction across the Dublin and Wicklow uplands, then through
the rolling hills of southwest County Wicklow to finish in the
small, County Carlow village of Clonegal 132 kilometres later.

Village, Avoca (Ballykissangel)

quaint little village famous for the television series
"Ballykissangel". The Avoca Handweavers, situated in
the village has the oldest working mill in Ireland,
built in 1723, and also has a coffee and craft shop.

Kilmacurra
Arboretum & House
Situated
east of Rathdrum, on route to Brittas Bay, Kilmacurra is a
beautiful place to easily lose an hour or two. The
gardens have a magnificent collection of exotic trees and
shrubs and the derelict remains of the Queen Ann house on the
estate is still a sight to behold.
