Conary Community Webpage

Conary is among many other things, home to the 'Mottee Stone'.  A legacy of the Ice Age, this huge granite monolith commands one of the most stunning views in all County Wicklow. Great tracts of the county's mountains and glens are visible from the high place, while eastward over the sea, the Welsh skyline can be seen under favourable conditions.

Kilmacurra Arboretum & House

Situated east of Rathdrum, on route to Brittas Bay, Kilmacurra is a beautiful place to easily lose an hour or two.  The gardens have a magnificent collection of exotic trees and shrubs and the derelict remains of the Queen Ann house on the estate is still a sight to behold.
